Study for: Speedpaint Studies Group (rules: 2 hour time limit, no tracing, no colour picking from the original ref. )

Painted in Krita on a Wacom tablet.
So many objects, so little time... A nice practise in fast painting and rendering, especially those round shapes. A lot of shadows and highlights so I experimented with overlay mode. It also proved a nice tool for colour corrections. There were so many things to do, that I didn't spend enough time on placing all the shapes correctly, because I was afraid I wont be able to make it look readable. For the same purpose I skipped the hard process of capturing details of the face and trying to make it similar to the model. Also not much time for any corrections, so there are some really silly mistakes. I tried quite hard to get decent colours and even though it's still really off in many areas I'm quite happy with the overall result, as it wasn't an easy task for me. Really good lesson.

Hey, great work! You got all of the forms blocked in very well, which is impressive considering just how many there are. I especially like the pumpkins. You also captured the glowy effect of the candles and lantern brilliantly.
