Study for: Speedpaint Studies Group (rules: 2 hour time limit, no tracing, no colour picking from the original ref. )
Reference: Mouth V by KW-stock
Painted with Krita and Wacom tablet
Taking a closer look at all those those flesh colours and textures. They're quite are hard to get right. Details of human anatomy definitely are not something I'd pick to study myself, but I think learning to paint all those wet, fleshy shapes might come in handy even in other situations.
Again the shapes are quite far off from the ref. Also I had a hard time with finding proper colours and values and the painting ended too dark and doesn't have enough contrast. The differences in hues and values were quite subtle, but so important... Lightning is also quite wrong... Maybe it'll be bettern next time

This is really amazing, the tongue looks extrodinarely natural and realistic. Very well done!
